No Worries Dachshunds Owned and Operated by Joy D. Irwin Crossville, TN 423-881-4564 931-287-6560 cell [email protected]
I became involved with Miniature Dachshunds when our niece got one several years ago. I have been involved (or immersed in) with the canine world all my life. Some of my earliest memories are of dogs. When our children were growing up I was involved with rescue, rehab and rehoming dogs and cats. My kids grew up with many pets.
When my first Miniature Dachshund Grace, came along she joined a canine family of 6 large rescue dogs. Since that time I have been blessed with Theodore, Daphne, Zedidiah, Indy, Signy, Madeline, Maximilian, Eva, Hope, Desi, Clementine, Casanova, Lilo, Avril Grace, Alyce, Arabela Sky, Susie Q and Lady Genevieve, Ottilia, Lavender and many more. I have long hair, wire hair, soft wires and short hair. Red and clear red, black and tan, brindle, chocolate and tan, dapple and piebald. I love them each and every one. They are just wonderful little dog people, they are small in stature but have huge personalities.
I don't encourage people who have children under the age of 5 to get a mini Dachshund. There's a lot of reasons for this. Its for the protection of the child and the dog. I will be happy to discuss this with anyone who asks. There are exceptions to every rule.
I take a lot of pride in my dogs, I love raising puppies. My pups are raised in the house with me. My dogs are not crated, they are not separated in anyway. They become part of the pack early on and it's amazing how they all take care of each other. I grow happy puppies and sometimes they may be alittle spoiled.....but it's just because I love them so much. Not all of my Doxies are breeders, in fact most of them do not have puppies at all. I love them all. They are my family.
My puppies do not leave home till they are 8 weeks old. I feel like its best for all concerned, the puppy and their new family. I will happily hold a puppy until weaning with a $100 NR deposit. Please feel free to request references.
